Lickey News Team have grown! Not happy with just reporting on school events now we are going to report on community events too and are going to have our very own community newsletter that will be distributed to shops, clubs and businesses in the local area.
We have applied for a BT Schools Award of £2000, and if we are lucky enough to win we will use the money to buy more digital cameras and equipment for the news team and the school.
Eventually we hope to have our own news office in school and to be out and about in school and in the community reporting and taking pictures.
If we dont get the BT Award then we will still continue with the good work!! So beware a reporter may be waiting to interview you!!
We want to know about all the clubs, fetes, jumble sales, car boots and events that you are involved with so that we can report on them. Also about any clubs you are a member of or help to run.
Let your class reporter know if you have entered any competitions, sports events or are starting off on a musical or acting career. Then you could be 'IN THE NEWS'.
And if by any chance you or a member of your family buy a new digital camera, scanner, computer or tape recorder and are going to throw out your old ones think of our news team, they may be just what we need!!
