21 Oct 2003 - An Interview with Miss Jones Class Teacher in 5AJ

We interviewed Miss Jones to find out why she liked being a teacher.

Miss Jones said that she wanted to be a teacher because at secondary school she was a bit of a naughty girl at first but then her Biology teacher put her straight and inspired her. From that she decided she wanted to be like him and inspire other children.

Miss Jones has been teaching for 9 years. She has taught at Mount Pleasant School in Dudley, which was very different from Lickey Hills School. Miss Jones has taught in years, 4, 5 and 6.

Miss Jones loves being a teacher, partly because she likes working with children, but she hates all the paperwork that goes with being a teacher.
Miss Jones likes art more than ICT. When she was 9 years old she wanted to be a hair dresser or a vet.

Miss Jones spends her spare time playing with her daughter and watching television. In the future she wants to stay as a teacher, but would like to change year groups. She doesnt want to be a head or deputy because she would miss class teaching and because of all the paperwork.

Thank you Miss Jones for letting us interview you.
