24 Jan 2006 - Gentle Jungle - Fund Raiser
The Playground Partership Committee - (Pupils in years 5 & 6) are helping Mrs Rudd to raise £5000 to build quiet areas around the school playgrounds where we can sit and read or play quiet games at lunchtime.
We have already collected over £300 from a bid to Woolworths and from Gardening Club now we are asking parents and local companies to pledge money to buy items to help build the areas.
Mrs Banner has offered to manage the project and several parents have already said they will help with building and pledge money towards it. Mr Broome and Mrs Vickers will also help.
All you have to do is pledge any amount from £3 upwards or pledge time to help. The building will start in the February half term. See Mrs Rudd for more details.
We are going to have a 'Blue Peter' style target board and all who support the project with money or time will have their names on a plaque in the area.
