TAG Team News and Information

Hi there everyone!

Year 6 GCSE Maths group are studying hard so that they can pass the exam this year and all of the other after school clubs are well underway.

All of our clubs are as popular as ever, over 200 children are attending at least one club!

The monthly challenges are proving popular. Although there have been some questions from parents about not receiving them. They are given out each month, however as the children choose if they want to do them, sometimes they may not take one home. Mrs Rudd will enter the challenges on here then you and your parents will know what they are.

This months challenge was to design a board game, including playing pieces, instructions and rules. Entries to Mrs Rudd by 9th May at the latest.

You dont have to be in TAG to enter, so look out for the next challenge.

Keep in touch with the TAG Committee. They are:
Riah Thornton-Jones - 6CP (Chair)
James Revill - 6JS - Y5/6 Coordinator
Bethany Alger - 5JV
Alick Cushing - 5SM - Y3/4 Coordinator
Jasmine Doughty - 4DW - Secretary
Cameron Ball - 4SJ - Y1/2 coordinator
Lokti Spyrou - 3VT - R/N coordinator
David Byfield - 3JD - R/N coordinator

The Talent Showcase was fantastic! Brilliant art work, superb dancing, singing, music and acting from some very talented children! The only problem is Mrs Rudd forgot to get photographs taken so if you have any please pass them on to her.

Can you also please let Mrs Rudd Know if you have won any special awards from groups that you are involved with out of school.

We need your support and advice.
What would you like TAG to do or include?

What has been the best part of TAG?
What homework projects would you like?
Please email us the answers to these questions.

A copy of out Policy for identification and support of gifted and talented pupils is in the document section of this website.

Our school has once again been invited to the annual Leading Aspect Awards to tell other schools about how fantastic our TAG programme is. Bethany, James and Riah from the TAG committee will be going along with Mrs Rudd to the conference at the Chesford Grange Hotel in Warwick.

Mrs Rudd has sent home questionnaires to some of our TAG children asking what parents think of our TAG programme. Please complete them and send them back so that Mrs Rudd can see how we can continue to improve things.
